Is this narration, narrated from Amir al-Mu'minin Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), authenticated by Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah?

The story of Ali ibn Abi Talib and the bridle is not mentioned in the books of Sunnah. Rather, it was cited by some authors of literature and chronicles, such as Al-Abshihi in "Al-Mustatraf." The story relates that Ali asked a man to hold his mule, but the man stole its bridle. When Ali came out to reward him, he found the mule without its bridle. So, he bought another bridle for two dirhams and then found out that the thief had sold the original bridle for two dirhams as well. Thereupon, Ali said: "Indeed, a servant deprives himself of lawful sustenance by abandoning patience, and he will not acquire more than what has been destined for him."
