What is the ruling on my studying at the university I joined after I lied to my father about the fees of the previous university and the reason for my leaving it?

There is no harm in the student's study at the college, and there is no connection between it and his lie to his father about the reason for leaving the first college. The questioner is advised to seek truthfulness, for in it lies salvation. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You must be truthful, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man continues to be truthful and strives for truthfulness until he is recorded with Allah as a truthful person (Siddiq)."
