The answer

The ruling differs according to the pilgrim's intention. If someone intended to perform Hajj Tamattu' before the , then changed his intention and entered for Hajj after the miqat, there is no harm upon him and no is required. As for someone who entered ihram for both ' and Hajj together (as a Qarin) from the miqat or before it, and then wished to make it Hajj Ifrad, he is not permitted to do so. However, he may dissolve the into 'Umrah; he would then perform and sa'i, shorten his hair, and exit ihram, then he would pronounce the for Hajj, thus becoming a Mutamatti'.
