What should I do after my older sister asked me not to message her following a dispute between us, even though I apologized to her, so as to avoid abandonment for more than three nights and to please Allah?

It is authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he forbade a Muslim from forsaking his brother for more than three days, and the better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting of peace. A Muslim should strive to maintain ties with his relatives. If he does so, he has fulfilled his obligation, and the sin remains upon the one who refuses reconciliation. As for he who maintains ties with his relatives while they cut him off, and treats them well while they treat him poorly, it is as if he is feeding them hot ashes, and he will continue to have a supporter from Allah against them.
