What are the merits of one who prays alone in the mosque?

If one reaches the Imam and he has already concluded the prayer, then he should wait for another congregation. Otherwise, he should pray alone, and he will receive the reward of congregational prayer if he was not negligent, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Whoever performs ablution well, then comes out intending to go to the mosque, and finds that the people have already prayed, Allah will record for him a reward similar to that of those who attended it, and that will not diminish anything from their rewards." His footsteps will also be recorded as a reward for him. As for praying alone in the mosque, it has no special merit except the virtue of the place. And a man's prayer in his home in congregation with his family is better than his praying alone in the mosque.
