What is the ruling on working as an accountant in a housing association if the association deposits its money in the bank and takes usurious interest, from which it funds its expenses and employee salaries?

There is no harm in working for the association as long as you do not assist in usurious transactions; otherwise, it is forbidden, due to the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." The salary becomes unlawful to the extent of your involvement in such assistance. If the association pays you your salary from the very usurious profits, the preponderant opinion is that it is permissible to take it in exchange for lawful work. You should advise the person in charge of the association about the seriousness of dealing with usury.
