Is it permissible to remove a Dhimmi from the head of a gathering so that a Muslim may sit in his place, especially if the Dhimmi arrived at the gathering first or if the gathering was specifically for him, knowing that Islam is supreme and nothing is supreme above it?

A Muslim female student is not required to ask a Christian female student to vacate her place at the university. Many of the rulings concerning the treatment of dhimmis that were mentioned by jurists cannot be applied in this era, especially the prohibition of seating them prominently in gatherings, as this implies their veneration. The concept of dhimmis has been replaced by citizenship, and they are now treated like Muslims. In these circumstances, a Muslim is not asked to make a non-Muslim stand up from their place. And Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity.
