What is Islam's view on a divorced woman who does not adhere to the court's ruling, does not care for the upbringing of her child, and prevents her ex-husband from seeing him sufficiently, and what kind of relationship remains between the man and the woman after divorce, and what is the child's fate from a Sharia perspective?

If the divorce is revocable, the marital relationship remains in effect during the iddah (waiting period), and intercourse is prohibited except with the intention of reconciliation. The wife is also not permitted to be expelled from the marital home. However, if the divorce is irrevocable, the wife becomes a stranger to him, and it is impermissible for him to see her or be in seclusion with her.

The custody of young children is the mother's right as long as she does not remarry, unless the child's presence with her would lead to their neglect, in which case her right to custody is forfeited. If there is no Sharia court, an attempt should be made to reach an agreement with her for the child's welfare, ensuring to teach them prayer and good manners on the designated visitation days, and following up with responsible authorities to prove her negligence in caring for the child, if possible.
