Anything beyond that is considered istihadah (non-menstrual bleeding). 2. You do not have a habit, but you can distinguish the blood: You act upon distinction. Menstrual blood is dark, thick, has an odor, and causes pain. 3. You have neither a habit nor the ability to distinguish: You act according to the habit of women similar to you (such as your sister or mother).
