Does the act of one who reads horoscopes to learn about personality traits invalidate their deeds?

It is not permissible to read horoscopes to know personal characteristics and other traits, as this falls under the ruling of going to soothsayers and asking them. While this is forbidden, there is no evidence that the good deeds of the one who does this are entirely nullified. Rather, what is narrated is the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever goes to a soothsayer and asks him about something, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights." The non-acceptance of prayer during this period does not mean it is invalidated or must be repeated; rather, it means there is no reward for it or that its reward is diminished.
