Is one who receives profits from money deposited in AlAhli Bank sinful?
It is not permissible to obey one's mother in dealing with usury, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no obedience in disobedience; obedience is only in what is good," and "There is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to Allah, the Almighty and Exalted." Allah has declared war on those who deal in usury, saying: "O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of usury, if you should be believers. And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses. Thus, the punishment extends beyond the one who deals in it to whoever assists in it. It is advised to be gentle with one's mother and explain the religious ruling to her, seeking help from righteous people.
