Abu Dharr al-Ghifari, whose name was Jundub ibn Junadah, may Allah be pleased with him, was the first to greet the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with the greeting of Islam. This is mentioned in a narration by Muslim: "Abu Dharr said: So I was the first to greet him with the greeting of Islam..."
