Can two acts of worship be combined with a single intention, and what is the Maliki school of thought on this matter?

The Maliki school permits combining two acts of worship with a single intention in the following matters:

1. The overlapping of two obligatory acts of worship; such as a woman's ghusl for menstruation and janabah with a single intention.

2. The overlapping of two acts of worship, one obligatory and the other sunnah; such as ghusl for janabah and Friday prayer with a single intention.

3. The overlapping of two acts of worship, one of which is not intended for its own sake; such as the greeting of the mosque with the two rak'ahs of Fajr, where the latter suffices for the former.
