What is the ruling regarding a wife remaining with a husband who is an alcoholic, travels frequently without her consent, has children with her, does not provide her with private housing, threatens her with no financial support claiming she is disobedient, and does not divorce her?

A woman has the right to request a divorce from her husband if he insists on drinking alcohol and does not respond to advice. The husband must provide a separate dwelling for his wife if he is capable of doing so, and he is not permitted to house her with his family if she is harmed by it. A wife leaving the marital home without her husband's permission is considered an act of disobedience (nushooz), and her financial support (nafaqa) is forfeited for the duration of her disobedience. However, the financial support of minor children is obligatory upon the father and is not forfeited by the wife's disobedience.
