The vow is not made binding by the phrase "I will fast" unless you intend it. If you do intend it, then you are obligated to fast for ten days, separately, unless you intended them to be consecutive. You may fast the vowed days on Mondays and Thursdays until you complete them. Undertaking a vow is disliked (makrooh).
