It is not your co-wife's right to accuse you of sorcery or of attempting to cause a rift between your husband and his family without evidence, or to accuse you of causing his parents' displeasure with him. Such accusations fall under the prohibited category of ill-conjecture. The husband must deter her from this. Similarly, it is not permissible for parents to prevent their son from marrying another woman without a legitimate Shar'i reason, and he is not obligated to obey them in this matter if the marriage is obligatory, for obedience is only in what is right and lawful. The husband must be just between his wives, even if they are in different countries. Children have no say in the division of time between wives. The day of Eid belongs to the wife whose turn it is, unless she waives her right. It is permissible for the husband to communicate with the other wife out of necessity or need. We advise you to be patient, engage in remembrance of Allah, and associate with righteous women.
