* **Major Irrevocability (Baynunah Kubra):** The wife cannot be taken back unless she marries another man and he consummates the marriage with her, and then he divorces her. * **Minor Irrevocability (Baynunah Sughra):** The wife cannot be taken back except with a new contract that fulfills the conditions for a valid marriage. This includes an 'Ibra' divorce (Khul'), which is when the wife relinquishes a right of hers (such as deferred dower or a debt) in exchange for the divorce.
