Is it better to perform the regular Sunnah prayers at home, considering the distance from the mosque and the inability to catch the congregational obligatory prayer? And is it better to pray the obligatory dawn prayer in congregation at the mosque, even if they lighten it and do not wait, or to pray it at home after waiting a sufficient amount of time?

Performing ratibah (supererogatory prayers) at home is better than performing them in the mosque, due to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "The best of prayers is a person's prayer in his home, except for the obligatory prayers." This is on the basis of preferability, not prohibition. If time is short, pray them in the mosque. As for the Fajr prayer, it is better to pray it with the congregation in the mosque, because congregational prayer in the mosque is obligatory according to some scholars, and because of its virtues, such as the reward for taking steps [to the mosque], waiting for the prayer, the angels seeking forgiveness [for you], and the reward for the first row.
