What is the ruling of Islamic law on obtaining a passport that requires a photo without a hijab for performing Umrah or Hajj, or for traveling and working in another country, and what is the ruling on the law that allows a woman to choose her guardian for marriage?

There is no harm in uncovering the face for photography when there is a need, knowing that the preponderant opinion is the obligation to cover the face. As for uncovering the head, neck, and other parts, it is not permissible except out of necessity or severe need. Regarding the second part, the basic principle is that a woman's guardian marries her off. If there is no guardian, the guardianship transfers to the ruler. If there is no ruler, then the Muslim community takes charge of her marriage, or she can delegate a just man. She is not allowed to choose just anyone to be her guardian.
