The answer

If the parents are taking bribes, they have committed a grave evil, which is one of the major sins and a cause for cursing and the wrath of the Lord. It is incumbent upon the children to honor their parents and treat them with kindness, and this includes advising them with wisdom and good admonition. It is not permissible to abandon them unless abandonment becomes the only means to reform them, in which case it is permissible to the extent needed, while maintaining contact with them through other means.
