You are not obligated to accept your husband's daughter to live with you, and there is no sin upon you or your husband for leaving the girl with her paternal uncle and aunt if she is safe with them. However, the father is responsible for her and must protect her, discipline her, and educate her. It is preferable for the girl to live with her father so that she can be under his care.
