Among the wisdoms of the greeting of peace (Salaam) is to make a Muslim aware of his brother’s good nature and love for him. And the saying: "Peace be upon whoever follows guidance" contains an insinuation that does not align with the general principles of Muslim solidarity, as goodness is the norm among them. Therefore, a Muslim should not greet his Muslim brothers with this phrase; rather, it is a greeting sent by a preacher to non-Muslims.
