When there is a scarcity of Sunni scholars, one must rally around those who are present and learn from them, or benefit from what stands in their stead, such as their audio recordings, books, and treatises. Among the most important means of learning is reading the balanced books of scholars, prioritizing what is most important according to a gradual educational ladder. It is recommended to start with the Book of Allah, then review abridged books from every discipline, progressing from easy to difficult, from most important to important, and from abridgments to extensive works. One can utilize commentaries on old, difficult-to-understand books, or dispense with them by using clear books.
