What is the ruling regarding a slow-learning child breaking their fast on the first day of Ramadan, then completing the fast for the rest of the month?

If the aforementioned child is of sound mind, discerning, understands the meaning of worship, and has reached sixteen years of age, he is considered an adult; because the age of legal majority is fifteen years. Therefore, he must make up for the days he broke his fast without intercourse.
