The fluid that exits other than semen is impure (najis) and invalidates ablution (wudu'). Its emission does not break the fast of a fasting person, whether it is with desire or without desire. The Malikis hold that the emission of prostatic fluid () without desire, or with desire but unintentionally, does not invalidate the fast. However, it does invalidate the fast if repeated looking or prolonged thinking leads to arousal and then prostatic fluid is emitted.
