The answer

Eating rabbit meat is permissible for both males and females, and we are not aware of any differing opinions on this matter. The evidence for its permissibility is the narrated by Anas in the two collections, which states that they hunted a rabbit and ate from it, and sent its thigh to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he ate it. And in the Sunan of Tirmidhi and Nasa'i, it is narrated that a Bedouin came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with a roasted rabbit, and he commanded his companions and the Bedouin to eat from it.
