Is it permissible to attend a meeting of a reconciliation committee and intervene on behalf of one party to a dispute without the permission and consent of the other party?

Reconciling disputes is one of the greatest acts of obedience to God. Allah Almighty has commanded it, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, encouraged it. Intervention for reconciliation does not require permission. However, intervening on behalf of one party without the consent of the others is not considered reconciliation and risks earning blame for the one who does so. Entering a place designated for a reconciliation committee is not permissible without permission, based on His (Allah's) saying: ﴿Do not enter houses other than your own houses until you have asked permission﴾. One should not interfere with the work of an appointed or agreed-upon committee, lest the matter be corrupted. The reconciler must be neutral and just between the disputing parties.
