What is the ruling on watching encrypted channels without charge, what is incumbent upon the one who does so, and is merely stopping sufficient for him?

The fatwa we adhere to is the impermissibility of watching permissible encrypted channels without the permission of their owners, because it is an infringement on their rights. Whoever does this must repent and compensate them, unless they forgive him. As for channels with forbidden content, such as obscene channels, watching them is absolutely forbidden, and one must repent from watching them by any means.
