Is it permissible to approve a marriage to a young man who works as a programmer in an insurance company, when his sister fears that his salary might be unlawful?

If the suitor's company is one of the cooperative insurance companies, then there is no problem with his work, and he is acceptable if he is a man of religion and good character. However, if his company is one of the commercial insurance companies, then the fatwa (religious legal opinion) with us is that his work in it is impermissible. He should be advised to leave this work and seek permissible employment. If he complies, then he is acceptable; otherwise, he is not.
