What is the wisdom behind the fact that the children of a deceased son do not inherit from their grandfather if they have paternal uncles, but they do inherit if they have paternal aunts?

A son who dies before his father does not inherit from him, because a condition for inheritance is the heir's survival of the deceased. Direct sons have a greater right to inherit from their father than his indirect sons. The paternal aunts of the grandchildren (daughters of the daughter) receive two-thirds if they have no brothers, and the remainder is taken by the closest male agnate ('asabah). The system of inheritance in Islam has profound wisdom, and a Muslim must submit to it. Matters of inheritance must be referred to the Sharia (definition) courts for investigation.
