Is it permissible for a father to refuse his daughter's marriage to a young man because he is of a different nationality, knowing that the girl has resided in the same country since birth?

If the girl is religious and of good character, continue to persuade your father to marry her, seeking the help of those who have influence over him. Explain to him that religiosity is the foundation for choosing a wife, citing the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "A woman is married for four reasons: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, and for her religiosity. So choose the one who is religious, and you will prosper." If he does not agree, then obey him and look for another, for honoring one's parents is more important, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "May he be humbled, a man whose parents, or one of them, reach old age with him, yet he does not enter Paradise." Avoid any relationships that do not please Allah the Almighty.
