The dinar held by the questioner is a trust (amana), and it must be given to the person specified by the donor. If she is unable to do so, she must return it to the donor. She is not permitted to dispose of it except with the donor's permission. If it is impossible to return the dinar to the donor, she may give it as charity to whomever she deems deserving. If she later meets the donor, she should give him the choice between approving the charity or taking back the dinar.
