Does an oath dissolve if the one who swore it breaks it forgetfully, or does it remain binding?

Whoever swore not to enter someone's house, then entered it forgetfully, has not broken his oath and is not required to offer expiation. As soon as he remembers, he must exit immediately if he wishes not to break his oath. The oath is not dissolved merely by entering out of forgetfulness. If entering the house is better, then he should offer expiation for his oath and enter it, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever takes an oath, then sees that something else is better than it, let him offer expiation for his oath and do what is better."
