Is it permissible for the wife to take allowances and bonuses exceeding her salary without informing her husband, knowing that he takes her full salary and does not spend adequately on her and their children?

A wife's salary and possessions are her exclusive right. She may dispose of them as she wishes, provided it does not violate Islamic law. It is not permissible for the husband to take anything from it except with her permission and willing consent. The husband must provide for his wife with what is customary, even if she is wealthy. It is not obligatory for a woman to help her husband with the expenses of the home or children; if she does so, it is out of good companionship. Nor is a woman required to seek her husband's permission to manage her own money.
