Terminating a fetus after 120 days is considered killing a forbidden soul, and is impermissible except in two cases: an imminent danger to the mother's life or the death of the fetus in her womb. As for terminating it before this period, it is also forbidden because it corrupts offspring, and is not permissible except with a reliable medical report stating that the mother's life is in imminent danger. The sin is amplified if the motive for disposing of it is to conceal adultery.
