Who is most entitled to give a woman in marriage according to the four schools of thought, knowing that there is no marriage without a guardian, and is there a difference of opinion or a consensus regarding the aforementioned Agnates (Asabah), and what distinguishes them from other relatives?

Scholars have differed regarding the order of guardians (awliya') in marriage. The Hanafis held that the son comes first, then the father, then the full brother. The Malikis, however, prioritize the son, then the father. As for the Shafi'is, they prioritize the father absolutely. The Hanbalis, on the other hand, prioritize the father, then his father, then the son. The 'Asabah are the male relatives who trace their lineage through males, such as sons, fathers, brothers, and paternal uncles.
