What is the ruling on using part of donated funds to buy gifts for those who collected them without the association's knowledge, and what is required to return the money and repent?

You must repent to Allah and return the money you took to the association, without needing to inform its administrators that you encroached upon their funds. Rather, it suffices to return it by any means that does not result in harm or put you in an embarrassing situation.
