Will God hold us accountable for everything we do, including what is not forbidden and the detestable acts? And what are the matters for which He will hold us accountable? And did God create the Preserved Tablet and know that He would create it, and will it and write? But where was it written if it was written?

"Al-Hisab" (the Reckoning) is the counting and recompensing of a servant for their deeds, whether good or evil. Allah is swift in reckoning, and He does not punish for things other than forbidden acts, such as permissible or disliked matters.

Allah Almighty is the Creator of the Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz), in which everything that will occur until the Day of Judgment is written. Asking "where it was written" is among the disliked questions that do not lead to action. Delving deeply into such matters is blameworthy and may lead to corrupt beliefs and innovations. Ibn Uthaymin warned against delving deeply into questions of 'aqidah (creed) that the Companions did not ask about and that were not clarified in the Book (Quran) and the Sunnah.
