It is obligatory to fulfill the agreed-upon condition in the rental contract regarding not using electrical appliances not provided with the accommodation, based on the words of Allah Almighty: (O YOU WHO HAVE BELIEVED, FULFILL [ALL] CONTRACTS) Al-Ma'idah/1, and the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: (Muslims are bound by their conditions). This is usually stipulated in student accommodation to avoid damage resulting from overloading electrical wires, which may cause power outages or fires.
