Will the dream I had of prostrating to God and supplicating for marriage to a specific person come true, knowing that I used to supplicate for this during the night vigil (qiyam al-layl), and then I learned that this person does not wish to marry me, and is it permissible for me to supplicate that God makes me forget him?

Interpretation of dreams is not within the purview of this website. Supplication in the last part of the night is a time when prayers are likely to be answered. Therefore, the Muslim woman should ask Allah for a righteous husband who will help her in her religious and worldly affairs, and she should supplicate frequently and not despair. Allah answers prayers as long as they do not involve sin or severance of kinship ties. Allah may also save the supplication for the Hereafter or avert an evil through it. One can present herself to someone she approves of through her guardian (wali).
