A husband must be just between his wives in terms of division (of time) and obligatory maintenance, which is the amount sufficient for their needs according to what is customary. A wife has no right to demand more than the obligatory maintenance, and the husband is not required to equalize maintenance between his wives if each one receives what is sufficient for her needs. Justice in division refers to spending the night (and the following day). The husband is permitted to visit a wife during the day, outside of her designated turn, if there is a need, but it is forbidden if there is no need. If the husband is not just, the wife should discuss the matter with him and remind him of the obligation of justice.
