Is a person sinful if he hands the remote control to another person or turns on the television for them?

A television is a device that can be used for good or for evil. Providing assistance for it depends on what is watched on it. If it is something good or permissible, then assistance is allowed. If it is something false or objectionable, then assistance is not allowed, due to the Almighty's saying: (And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression). Rather, one must denounce evil according to one's ability, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue; if he cannot, then with his heart—and that is the weakest of faith).
