What is the ruling on an Imam who prolongs the bowing (rukuʿ)?

The Sunnah for someone leading people in prayer is not to prolong the prayer, due to the potential hardship this may cause the congregants. However, if a person prays alone, there is no harm in him prolonging it as much as he wishes. If the Imam prolongs the bowing (Ruku') for those who wish to join the prayer, we have previously explained the ruling on that.
