The question

Is it permissible to create an Instagram account to publish Quranic verses translated into English from a reliable source, knowing that I am an English language graduate? And is there any harm if non-Muslims see this translation, considering the sanctity of the Quran?

The answer

Striving to serve the religion by using modern technology and translating the Quran is a legitimate project, and a translation of the Quran is not the Quran itself, but rather an interpretation. It is permissible for disbelievers to read the translation of the verses, and it is not forbidden for those in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) or menstruation (ha'id) to read the translation. It is permissible to write down verses for disbelievers for the purpose of admonition, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did. It is not permissible to travel with the Mushaf (physical copy of the Quran) to disbelieving lands for fear of it being disrespected.
