Is the wife entitled to know all of her husband's financial affairs, or are there only certain financial matters she is entitled to know?

The wife has rights over her husband, such as maintenance (nafaqa) and housing, but she does not have the right to question him about what money he possesses, nor is he obligated to inform her of it. This is because her questioning may lead to the disruption of marital life and the occurrence of discord. Therefore, the wife should follow the prophetic guidance in leaving what does not concern her. For this reason, the wife has an independent financial ذمة (financial liability/standing), and her husband does not have the right to interfere in her affairs, just as she does not have the right to interfere in the affairs of his money.
