Continuing with the scientific study circles (halaqat) requires considering the circumstances, preventing harm, and achieving benefit. If it is possible to agree with the imam on a method that does not cause him harm, such as changing the times or days, then that is good. However, if this is difficult because the imam fears administrative harm and cannot conduct the teaching, then it is possible to move to another mosque or hold the study circle in one of the homes. The important thing is to continue the study circle without causing harm to anyone.
