The answer

The marriage contract is not invalidated if a man conceals his marriage to another woman, and this is not among the defects that annul a marriage. If the husband conditions his wife's divorce on her informing her family about his previous marriage, then if she informs them, the divorce occurs. It is obligatory for the husband to deal justly between his two wives and to treat his wife kindly. The wife may refer the matter to the judiciary if he does not act justly. It is advisable to discuss the matter with the husband first, and to weigh the harm of divorce against the harm of remaining in the same situation if he does not respond.
