The answer

The preponderant opinion is that the Jumu'ah prayer does not have a regular pre-prayer supererogatory () prayer, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform it nor did he guide to it, nor is there any authentic narration from the Companions to that effect. As for the post-Jumu'ah supererogatory prayer, it is established, and it is prayed as two or four rak'ahs. The first call to prayer () for Jumu'ah is legislated, and it is for remembrance. The second Adhan must be done with loudspeakers. The Imam is advised to be gentle and wise in these matters. It is not permissible to abandon Jumu'ah due to disagreement on these matters of (independent reasoning).
