The most famous texts of the Umarian Covenant, in which Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, stipulated to the people of Jerusalem that no Jew should reside with them, were mentioned by al-Tabari without a chain of transmission. He also mentioned that Khalid and Ubadah said: "Umar reconciled with the people of Aelia in al-Jabiyah and wrote for them therein a single treaty for each district, except for the people of Aelia." This reinforces the doubt regarding the authenticity of the condition.
