The answer

Perhaps the esteemed questioner means the covenant and the solemn pledge that Allah Almighty took from the Children of Adam in the world of pre-existence, when He created their father Adam, peace be upon him, and stroked his back, bringing forth from him every soul that would be born until the Day of Judgment. This covenant is their affirmation of Allah's Oneness and Lordship. Ibn Kathir narrated, on the authority of Ibn Abbas (mawquf), that Allah stroked Adam's loins and brought forth from him every soul He would create until the Day of Judgment. He then took from them the covenant that they would worship Him and not associate anything with Him, and He guaranteed their provisions. Then He returned them to his loins. The Hour will not be established until all who gave the covenant that day are born. So, whoever lives to witness the latter covenant and fulfills it, the former covenant will benefit him. And whoever lives to witness the latter covenant and does not affirm it, the former covenant will not benefit him. And whoever dies young before reaching the latter covenant, dies upon the former covenant, upon the natural disposition (fitra).
